    Clinical Overview
    Tracheitis, also known as bacterial tracheitis, is a relatively uncommon infection in the upper airway spanning the larynx, trachea, and bronchi. The condition is most often caused by Staphylococcus aureus and frequently follows a viral upper respiratory infection.
