I had a hip replacement a year and a half ago and been having a lot of trouble. My doctor says my x-rays are fine but the bone scan is abnormal. Have a lot of pain and been off work for a month. Anybody had any previous problem or advice? He says the next step is opening me back up. But what if nothing is found? Could be loose! I'm very confused right now.

I am male, 62, and have had an artificial heart valve (aorta, Starr-Edwards) for 30 years. Will it ever have to be replaced ?
