Hello: I just had a stent put in 3 days ago,and I read while I was there for the procedure that,1 in 4 women have heart disease.I am female. Marlene

Men are supposedly (and statistically) more at risk for all heart problems- whether this is biological or a matter of social pressures (men are also statiscally more likely to be smokers,drinkers, red meat consumers etc.) is something to be debated.

this article says that gender is an uncontrollable risk factor - but doesn't state which gender is more at risk. does anyone know?
