That's a good question. I believe the answer is "it depends" given the nature of the murmur.

But, I've also heard that you need to proceed through a physical. There are different levels of murmur. Some are strong and some are not so strong. I know of a guy who had a murmur and spent sixteen years in the Navy.

Can anybosy tell me if a Bicuspid Aeortic Valve (heart murmur) will keep me out of the Navy?
