I agree completely with anonymous. More detailed information regarding not only the stress MUGA but also the cardiolite stress test and other diagnositic procedures. Today's educated patients want MORE detailed information regarding the tests our doctors recommend. One would expect that such detailed information could be found at a site such as NIH, MedTech or Mayo Clinic's website, etc. Sadly, that is not the case. Generally, my own experience has been that it is a matter of the patience to read thru hit after hit in a web search only to find the best and most detailed information is provided by a stand-alone, private clinic of specialists one has little oppurtunity to evaluate the credentials of withut still more time consuming searching.. It's almost as if the leading organizations in the medical profession are still only half heartedly attempting to shed the curtain of secrecy practiced not all that many years ago when Heaven Forbid! the patient should know what their BP, pulse and temp were during a hospital stay!!!

I've had a stress MUGA done. Frankly, I would like to see a much more detailed explanation of the procedure than the one given. The American College of Surgeons have some excellent, detailed explanations of various surgeries available at their website. The American Academy of Family Physicians has some excellent, detailed descriptions of various office procedures available at their website.
