The other thing to keep in mind is that a lot of times one part of a food or drink is bad for you while another part is good for you. Or it's good for one part of your body and bad for another. (Wine is good for your heart but bad for your liver, for example.) These studies are always a little bit misleading.

I agree with AmariT on this issue. An important way to keep us healthy is "balancing our bodies", including having diversified food and doing some sports while having enough good sleep every day.

I think that everything can be good for you in small doses and bad for you in too large of quantities. I'm willing to bet that if all you eat every day is salad, you're going to be just as unhealthy as if all you ate every day was fried food. [br][br]I think the main thing is that we need variety in our diet. There's a balance of vitamins, fats, oils, and other things we never think about that keep our bodies running at their best potential.

While I have never heard that eating fried food (from good organic oils) can be good for you every once in awhile, I have heard this same thing about other foods that we initially think are bad for you. An example of this is chocolate. So, even though an excessive amount of chocolate is bad for you, this does give those chocoholics a reason to have a little bit each day. Have you heard of any other foods like chocolate or those that are fried that can be good for you if eaten every once in awhile, in small portions?

[p]So, we all know fried foods are the root of all health problems. Fried foods are made with fat, which leads to heart disease and a myriad of weight and health problems, blah, blah, blah. Well, hold on just a second. While eating fried foods everyday is probably a recipe for disaster, enriching your diet with the occasional fried treat, fried from good organic oils, can actually be a good thing according to this article from the New York Times.[/p][p]http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/15/health/nutrition/15recipehealth.html?ref=health[/p][p]The article goes on to give a delightful recipe for sweet potato chips that are satisfying as they are good for you.[/p]
