<p>I'm a big fan of swimming, and my best friend loves Zumba. The most important thing is to do an exercise you enjoy. There are a lot of good aerobic exercises, but if you hate doing them, you won't do them. </p>

Aerobic exercise will definitely help prevent heart disease. In addition to running, you may want to try biking, swimming, skating, or aerobics classes - one of my friends swears by Zumba, but I haven't been to a class yet. It's also a good idea to incorporate stretching and strength training into your exercise regime. First, these exercises will help you avoid joint injuries from all that running. And second, you'll build lean muscle, which means that you'll burn more calories even when not exercising. This makes it easier to keep weight under control, an important factor for avoiding heart disease. Good luck! Let us know if you hear of any other heart-healthy tips!
