Hello everyone,[br][br]My mother who used to have breast cancer was recently brought to the hospital(on her 50th birthday) because she felt sick. She had water in her lungs and the doctors said she had heart failure. While in the hospital, she had an EKG and doctors noticed she had extra beats. Today, she is getting a defibrillator put in.[br][br]What are the risks of having a defibrillator at 50 years of age? Does it need to get replaced eventually?[br][br]Also, I was thinking of getting her a bike for Christmas. Will biking help her strengthen her heart or could it damage it?[br][br]Thank you.
